Co-Founder & Managing Director

Suraj is the Co-Founder & Managing Director for Catalyst Alts which was previously established as SC Credit, a joint venture for alternative credit investing with private equity firm Samena Capital. Suraj has been managing the investments of SC Credit Fund and the operations of the Investment Manager since 2017. He has more than 25 years of investment banking and structured finance experience in India having senior roles at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, GE Capital Services and Rabo India Finance, Mumbai. In these roles, he engaged in structuring and syndicating acquisition financing, project financing, asset-based lending, securitisation and structured credit transactions across sectors. He started his career with CRISIL India (owned by Standard & Poor’s).

Suraj holds a Bachelors of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
